What is Speed Dating?
If you're dating in this day and age, you know that time constraints can have a big impact on your social life. Many television shows and cities and now the Internet have a solution called "speed dating." What is speed dating?

Love and marriage have always gone hand in hand. With the efficiency of shotgun weddings and quickie divorces, it would only seem natural for dating to follow suit. Enter the fast-paced world of speed dating, where singles have the opportunity to date up to five other lovelorn singles in one session.

How is this possible, you ask? Each date lasts a mere five minutes. What makes speed dating different from the typical bar scene is that participants have the same objective — to meet a potential companion.

Rules of the Speed Dating Game
The rules of online speed dating are quite simple. A group of singles gathers at Randomate.com. Armed with a profile, a picture and their sparkling personality, couples are paired up to begin their first date. They are allowed to discuss anything and a free to browse their partners profile while they chat.

Following five minutes of conversation, a bell is rung, and it's time for the next round to start. Think of it as a flirt's version of musical chairs.

Following each date, participants are asked whether they would have an interest in meeting their date again. If a mutual interest is noted, our speed dating organizers automatically matches both users as friends, open new site features.

REGISTRATION:

Register with Randomate and you'll get access to the site's great tools like speed dating and you will be able to create your own customized profile. It's easy. Just fill in the form on the registration page.
Once the form is submitted, we will send an email to the address provided. Click on the link in the email to verify your email address.

USERNAME AND PASSWORD

I forgot my username and/or password.
If you forget your username and/or password simply click on this link and enter your profile's email address. Your username and password will be sent to that account.

How do I change my password?
You can change your password by clicking on the "Tools" and then "Settings" from the menu that appears. Enter your old password followed by your new password and click on "change password" to complete this action.

Email Addresses

How do I change my email address?
You can change your email address by clicking on "Tools" and then "Settings" from the menu that appears. Enter the email address you would like to use in the "Current E-mail" box and click on "Change E-mail" to complete this action.

FRIENDS

How do I add friends on the site?
To send a friend request, mouse-over the message icon next to the username of the person you want to add. Select "Add to friends" from the drop-down menu that appears. This user will be sent a friend request from you. Once they've approved your request, they will be instantly added to your friend list (and you to theirs). The same applies when you recieve a friend request from another user.

Why cant I send a note?
You can only send notes to people on your friend list. This helps prevent spam and un-wanted messages.

How do I invite someone to join Randomate?
You can invite friends to try online speed dating by clicking on the "Tools" link at the top of the page. Select "Invite Friends" from the toolbar that appears. Enter the email addresses of friends you would like to join. These people will get an email with instructions on how to register.

PHOTOS

How do I upload a photo?
You can upload a photo by clicking on the "Tools" tab at the top of the page. Select "Manage Photos" from the toolbar that appears. By clicking on the "Browse" button, you can search your computer's files. Once you have located the photo you want to upload, click the "upload" button and the photo will appear in the "My Photos" section of the page.
